Tuesday almost Wednesday....

It is Tuesday and because it is a little late, I will keep this short and sweet with really cool pictures ;)

How cute is this dog in the hat? LOOKATIT! :) This made me un-tired after such a tiresome day.

I finally have my own bottle, thanks to one of my besties who bought it for me.  I think I will wear this tomorrow and imbibe the spirit of Mademoiselle Coco.

I have recently gotten into gardening, and this weekend, I can't wait to get some succulents; like THESE

I want to put these around the house, including these little plants that supposedly absorb smells, which usually go into bathrooms.  We will now put this hopefully in the bathrooms around the house, especially near the cat litter box :)

Good night dear blog. See you again soon ;)

Experimenting

Thought I'd try something I've always wanted to do before: put together pictures I've taken and words that come into my head.  Here's attempt #1 :)

I've got some ways to get yet, methinks :)

take-it-easy Tuesday

The last few days have been painful and at the same time a whirlwind to me.  As I mentioned in my blog a few days ago, my cousin Mike unexpectedly died in his sleep.

I didn't take that too well just because when we were so close before, we were so far from each other right before he died.  He was just living a lifestyle I didn't approve of, and thought that the best course of action to do was to "tough love" it out, and leave him be.  This apparently was shared by several people, and I wasn't the only one.  Unfortunately, we're all now wishing we didn't be so tough on the love.  It's still a shock and I'm still slowly trying to get over it. I don't know if I can, but I will try.

The last few days also held a few "parties" for him at his house.  People just dropping by with a boatload of alcohol, and hanging out and talking, and catching up.  This would last til the wee hours of the mornings, and though I KNOW in my prime I could do it, nowadays it has left me sick and tired.  Maybe there was a point to all the tough love after all.

Also, we had a few friends from England that I took out last night.  Nice night all around, got a bit drunk, but I got them on their flight to the beach this morning so all is well. They will be back in a few days and it will start all over again.

I'm about to play a gig on the 29th with one of the biggest bands here in the Philippines.  To say I'm nervous would be a monumental understatement.  I just hope I don't screw up too badly.

I've decided to start cleaning out my desk today at work.  So I think I"ll need just one more trip to the office and I"m good.  Aside from that, I need to settle accounts with the grand master of HR and finance so I can be on my merry way away from them.  And of course the sooner the better.

Anyway, steady as she blows.  I may just get out of this yet.  :)

Thankful Tuesday

The storm/s have finally passed.  In more ways than one it seems.

We're supposed to be getting another one, but reports so far seem to indicate it will bypass us.  Fingers crossed.

I had the best news yesterday: that job I've been angling for the last month? The one with the wicked interview?  They called yesterday.  They still are interested and would like a second interview this week.  SWEET.  I'm gonna kill it.  I'm gonna NAIL this.  I'm going to make this happen.  I know I can do this.  And I will :D

So yeah.  Storm has passed, as did that awful mercury retrograde.  Now things are going to move slowly back to what they were, or as close to the momentum of what was, before the figurative s**t hit the fan and made all our lives do a cartwheel.

My attention now has refocused on events and things that were going on prior to the storms.  I need to figure out what I want to be for Halloween for example.  Do I really want to be Toph?  Will people appreciate my effort?  Do I have enough money to get the costume made in time?  Pressing questions to be sure.  Well not really, but hmmm.  Maybe I could go as Max from Where the Wild Things Are.  The fur may be a little too hot though, especially for this climate.  But look at them:

And I've been wanting to copy this style:

I'm hoping that with this new job (50% in the bag...so I won't say I've gotten it til I really truly have signed contracts hahaha!) comes a new me.  It seems like the perfect time to start again.

After the storm, after the mess, time to clean up and start over.  It's time I haul my ass my the bootstraps and get to it.  No one else will do it for me but me.

I could start with this (Thanks to my friend Lourdes hahaha!):

Anyway, time to finish stuff and get a move on.  Here's to looking ahead. :)

Thrilling Tuesday

Well, technically it ISN'T, though the idea of me staying in with West Wing IS thrilling.  By all accounts, no one else in their right mind would find this as thrilling as I do.  But maybe I assume too much.  Maybe I have kindred spirits out there shouting, "WHY YES!  Let's stay home!!  THAT IS THE BEST THING EVER!"
To you, I say, HOME IS THE SHIZZNIT! :D
Don't get me wrong.  I love going out, seeing friends, doing things.  But wow, there are times that my entire being just yearns to hang out at home with the kittykids.  Maybe even with a book, God knows I have enough on the "to read" list.  This is one of those times.  I miss my home, just staying in and trying to figure out how best to proceed with my plot on world domination :)
PLOTPLOTPLOT.
Now to play some Plants vs. Zombies.  or buy food and then play.  Yeah, that's it.
Such a trying day it is today eh? :)

Thinking Tuesday

Despite having no mulah to buy a decent cup of joe, I am now going to attempt to set myself a mission for the week. This is to finally, gradually and carefully inventory all the stuff I have to share and sell to people.
I have old pieces of clothing, accessories that have accumulated throughout my 31 years on this earth and some must find new homes.  A garage sale doesn't just cut it, since there are some stuff that are actually really pretty, they just don't fit me anymore, or are hardly used.  So I can't really sell them for too low either, especially the designer stuff.  So I will finally bite the bullet and take the time and inventory it all and post them up this week.  I MUST I MUST.  It has been sitting around for way too long because of too many excuses.
I will do this.  I can do this.  I will be strong and not be horizontal.  No amount of cute meowing of my kitties will not deter me from this mission.
EGAD.  Look at that cuteness.  I can't stand it!!!
MUST. BE. STRONG.  MUST. MAKE. THIS. HAPPEN.  If only to buy these two the much needed litter they've depleted.
Damn they're cute.  I will be strong.

I will also find ways to occupy myself AT HOME.  I will make a dent in the pile of books that are waiting for me at home, as well as try and do DVD marathons.  :)  That won't cost me much, right?  At least I'll educate my mind as well as my um, vision.  hahahaha!  Things are looking better as the day goes on.  Here's hoping this stupid cough and cold will go away soon as well.  :(

Thick Tuesday

Today is thick with excitement and nervousness for me.  I'm anxious about tonight to the brim.  I hope I can hit those high notes.  I know I will be needed a little bit of scotch or rum to reach them.  OH DEAR.
Nonetheless, I will persevere and move on and have a great time!!!  The last minute change last night of one of the songs I think is to my benefit so, I know I can kick ass, so long as I don't let my nervousness get the better of me.  And I hope I don't cuss too much.
I will now calm myself down by looking at other blogs and repeating the songs I will be singing tonight on youtube.  Again.
WOOOOOZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Tiring Tuesday

I'm in full blast warp speed girl crushing on Lily Allen. Just thought I'd start with a happy thought. :) People are telling me her 2nd album, which I just bought the other day, is a little too poppy already, which means that I'll probably also love her first album too, probably more than I do this one.

Moving on, today was slow, and that's saying something from someone who actually hasn't done anything except sit around and watch youtube all day. Ok that's not true, I've also done some work for those projects I've got, which I have realised this morning with a panic-stricken gasp, are all lined up for next week. C's project events must MUST start the marketing soon. The gigs need to be put up everywhere I can manage.

So today, I actually made the poster for the cartoon gig we're having next Thursday, on the 2nd. I hope it's ok. Took me a bit of time, and my lovely friend, Leo, tends to sleep when the sun is up and wake up when it goes down. These musicians, I tell you. :) We also need to confirm perhaps one more band in the lineup. All should be settled tomorrow.

Man, and I'm SINGING on Tuesday next! I just realised that too. Just NOW. Dear oh dear.

I've finished the contracts for the artists for C's project events which should be ok with everyone. Now it's just a matter of getting everyone together at one time just to sign it all and go through all the logistics, especially what kind of paint they will need for the wall painting exercise. I've at least also locked down MTV and a magazine to come and cover it for us.

Damn, I hope the other band I'm supposed to play for forgets about our jamming this week. I could use a break truly. Then again, it's a long weekend so I should stop being a ninny and put a lid on the complaining.

Long weekend! I can't wait to just hang about and not do anything, except maybe clean the flat as well as make food for the rest of the week. Throw out the unnecessary and rotting (ew) food in the fridge. Hmmmm....maybe I should do that tonight. Or tomorrow. Just to free up some space. Then I can get some meat from the market and make a whole bunch of patties: fish, pork, beef...then just reheat or cook them up for myself during the next week.

I've also decided that I want, nay I NEED a red jacket. I feel I would look good in one. Maybe something like this:

Kate Spade
Oh so cute!

I've also decided that for the day, I'm done with my cartoons! I must peel myself away from the Gummy Bears, Last Unicorn, etc. And yet.....

Ok. I must focus on dinner tonight: grilled chicken and chimichurri sauce. yes that's it. Must grill those asparagus too. Yes....ok.

And NOW back to Jem! :)

Tuesday and finding Bob

It's a steady day today, with the one thing that most irked me is that I finished the love story of The Pioneer Woman (thepioneerwoman.com) who has become my idol. She is far from perfect, but is in her perfectly imperfect life living out in a ranch somewhere in the wilderness of Montana that I want to be a neighbor.

The best thing I did today was meander into the 2nd hand bookshop (or stall I should say) downstairs and find a GEM of a book that I'm still contemplating on whether or not I will give my friend Martin. Why am I debating, knowing that Bob Dylan's book of words and art will go down well with him? Coz that's his favorite artist ever. EVER. And well, since I found it, and I like Bob as well, but not in the same rabid fashion he does, I wanna have a go at it first...maybe keep it in my collection of books? ;) We'll see where this leads.

Since there's no work tomorrow, I reckon I can have a few drinks with friends tonight. And at C's bar/resto they'll be having food testing for paninis. HAPPINESS :) MORE FREE STUFF! Life is good. All I have to take care of now is finding that job that will let me outta this rut. That and may be knowing that I won't have to clean my kitten's poop tonight. DAMN. That reminds me, I need to make a grocery list for tomorrow. CAT FOOD and TOILET PAPER. Most important.

I hope this band will figure itself out. I want it so much to succeed! We just need a bassist. Maybe we can post on Facebook and Multiply and all the SNS for one. :) Til next time.....
