Tamad (lazy) Thursday

I was bad today and did work from home.  Actually, that's not SO bad, considering there isn't anyone in the office but me.  My officemates had to go to KL for a training session....which they will teach unto me I think. :)

I just biked to get cigarettes (yes YUCK i know) and it was so liberating.  Especially since I did it in a skirt.  And now I'm all a sweaty glow.  Nice little bit of exercise today.  I think I'll keep doing that, though not the cigarette part.  I hope with all the biking I'm building myself up for, that I will eventually not look to cigarettes and maybe even kick that filthy habit!  Fingers crossed...

I've just made awesome Friday mornng plans with my friend K who will be coming with me for breakfast tomorrow in the new deli.  I will have all sorts of pictures to document the thing :)

I've set up my shelves with robots and other toys, as well as find those 'floating' bookshelves where I put all my cooking books in. :)

My (messy) work station :)

SHELVES!

I put some books on there first.  These aren't my cooking books yet :)

I'm also almost done with my Beatles cross stitch project.  Again, will post stuff here as soon as its done. :)

AND!!!!  Presentiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!  My bike and new friend, Purple Thunder, PT for short. :)

I don't have a picture of her with the basket yet.  That will come in time :)  She's a beauty and an easy ride. :)  I hope I get to ride on her more often in these coming weeks.  I'm trying to prepare for the detox.  :-s  I'm rather nervous for it, but I think it will do me a world of good.  Besides, I'm 31, and I think it's about that time.  My body needs to be reenergized.  :D

That's it for now!! :)  Happy Thursday to everyone!  Here's to the weekend! :)

OLD MANILA

The place I call home.  This is how it was back in the 40s, right before we were attacked. :(

Thursday Loves and observations

Some Thursday things:

I can't get over how much I love THIS SITE.  I love the little comments each picture has, and it's like a comic strip / mini story.

Wow...I was right to love Benicio Del Torro and Adrien Brody.  Viggo was also very hot :D:D:D:D:D CUTE CUTE CUTE...  Kinda feel better to know that Natalie Portman is human. :D

I am so loving THIS TABLE. .  I'd love it even more if it had black somewhere, like a stripe or something.  Or I can just stencil stuff on the side?

GEEK LOVE :)  Always cute.

Would love if I can make my writing / working nook at home like THIS.  Leave it to Hemmingway. :)  I think if he were alive today, and we had a chance to be friends, that we would actually be friends. He seemed like a cool dude.

My head is still in fixing my home.  I'm envisioning paintings up and other stuff installed.  Took me 3 years!!!  hahahaha!!!  Talk about taking my time.  Well at least I know I'll like it since it's taken me this long to decide where everything went.  And I know it'll really be HOME.  In capital letters. :D

I got my bike the other day, but I haven't been able to find the time to ride it yet.  I AM DYING TO! :)  Not tonight.  Probably Sunday since I have things going on this weekend.  I want to take my time with my bike and get to know her.  Oh yeah, her name is Purple Thunder, or PT for short.  I will be posting pics up of her as soon as I can. :)

As of now I'm just looking forward to hanging out with friends tonight for my bandmate's belated birthday bash /  opening of her wine room at her brother's resto.  WHEW.  Mouthful!  But it will be a cool and steady night. :)

YAY! :D

I thought this picture was purrrrty

And at the risk at sounding conceited, I can imagine myself being the lady in this photograph.  When I was single, I'd do a lot of this by-myself-time.  I used to do a lot of it outdoors and in public places.  I don't know WHY exactly, but I love being home.  I love the feel of being comfortable.  And I guess people watching does not interest me as much as it used to.  I should try to more often though.  I miss making up stories of those people I watch walk by.  :)

Monday Monday

I love this HOUSE!!!!  C said he wants to live in a log house.  I say, if it's like that, I wouldn't mind! :)

January seemed to have gone by with an almighty WHOOOOOSH.  Seriously.  I have never had time move that fast for me before.  Really!

So far the year has been fun.  Slowly and surely, the things I wanted to happen is on course of becoming a reality, if it isn't already.  :)  ALL GOOD TO REPORT THIS MONDAY! :)

OH OH!  This weekend, we bought my new bike.  The dudes who are selling it are cleaning it and giving the tyres a pump, as well as oiling all the parts that are needed to be oiled.  C will pick it up tomorrow for me.  I cannot wait.  I want to ride mt BIKE!!!! :)

And it's PURPLE. ;)  And I bought a bell to go with it.  KRIIIING!

I can't wait for it.  I will try and be patient though.  :)  Good way of making good on some new year resolutions in improving myself.

Oh and just as a Monday laugh, go to THIS LINK to vote for the worst couple. hihihihi!

5 Things and resolutions :)

So how has your year been so far?  Mine seems to be speeding by a bit.  I wanted catch my breath and record some of it here.

So, I'm partly doing my resolutions.  Let's start off with that.  I had the bad experience of trying to get a book club together and none of them showing or, for some, not even texting back.  Of course I was annoyed.  Now, unless someone asks me to join, I will not start my own.  Divested too much time on that....just a shame and waste of time.  I'll read for myself any try to learn about new books by myself.  So yeah, I'm not giving up on Resolution #8!!!  Never say die!! :)

I am actually also doing something about Resolution #2.  I'm currently reviewing insurance plans for myself.  I already have 3 beneficiaries in mind.  Hehehe, NO I won't tell. ;)  So far so good.  The lady I'm speaking to is nice and explains things well, which I need especially since it's all numbers!!! (my weakness is math. I hate it and have never seen the point of learning more than multiplication and division.)

I wanted to also do the 5 Things again like I did HERE :)  Seems like a nicer way to pass the time and get stuff out.  It's also a good way to put things into FOCUS.

OK!  Let's begin.

TO ELIMINATE

1. My temper.
2. Unnecessary bullshit.
3. A few pounds. (OK FINE. More than a few)
4. Unhealthy habits.  Smoking and drinking, gradually.  Eating midnight snacks must GO.
5. Mess in the housey.

WANT / NEED

1. More time.

2. More sleep / rest.

3. More money (hahahaha!)

4. Bicycle, bicycle, bicycle.

5. Water heater and shelves that we bought to be installed!!! :)

3 Years of just cold water is enough penance I reckon.  And I actually feel good that I had a little bit of a hard time with this section, which I see to mean that there isn't much that I need or want. :)  Closer to contentment.  I like that.  :D

THANKFUL FOR

1. C and his super powers...admittedly, they're human super powers. It's good enough for me!
2. My new job and office.  It's like a second home and my brain is getting a nice workout.
3. Water
4. Neighbors and friends.
5. Being able to say something bad (perhaps) in a way that does not give offense (as it should be).

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!!!!

cool stuff

I haven't written in a LONG time I know, but I'm still trying to get the hang of the new job etc, so I'm so glad to find time to blog right now!!! :)

Cool and wonderful hat....I'd wear it, but not in the tropical Philippine heat.

A BEAUTIFUL BIKE, that's giving me ideas for the bike I'm planning to buy this weekend! :)http://www.doubletakesblog.com/2010/01/alexander-girard-for-electra-bikes.html

Really cool paper folds...who would've thought?!

WEEEEEEEE!!! :)
