Friday afternoon

This is the Friday afternoon of the first long weekend we have this month. Yes, we have TWO.  And not only do we have TWO, they are BACK TO BACK.  So next week is also another long (I think it is actually even a long-er) weekend. YAY!!! :)

So here I am, picking up where I've slacked off with you my poor, unread blog and I'm here to give you some necessary attention :)

Saw the usually fantastic stuff online today that I want to share! :)  Here we go :) Oh and as I write, here is a little SOUNDTRACK for you to listen to, if you feel so inclined :)

I know that somewhere in my city (Manila, Philippines), I can do this...  Though when I will need a sweatshirt, considering it doesn't get colder than 25 degrees Celsius, is beyond me. I know! I can do this to tshirts :)

Hilarious "theory" :)

I am technically not a fan of table cloths, but I think I may do this DIY one for the cats, like a little curtain for the litter area.

I love how these bookshelves go into  the wall. I'm still trying to think if this is how I want mine. Maybe in a bigger space and not this current apartment.

I wish we could do things like these here in Manila.

I have a feeling I will be using THIS SITE A WHOLE LOT.

When I have kids, I have a feeling that I will do my own version of this :)  Pretty neat :)

I want to do this to whatever house/apartment/condo I am in, which is to set apart a space, whoever small, just to BE. These are great examples of that.

AND! These stamp-like wall rollers are giving me ideas too of what I can do in my own home :) OR you can just go straight into their website, http://the-painted-house.co.uk/

I am loving this HOUSE PLAN, but maybe not the same exact stuff... and not the same colour definitely.

And THIS is just an overall great reminder :)

This weekend, I am planning to bank articles and do some research on a secret project I'm doing.  I owe my tito this for a very long time.  But next weekend, I'm going on a baking spree. I haven't been able to do ANY baking in a long time, so this will be fun.

I also need to start brain storming on what to write about in the other blog with the boyfie.

Until then my dear blog :)  *hug*

cool stuff

I haven't written in a LONG time I know, but I'm still trying to get the hang of the new job etc, so I'm so glad to find time to blog right now!!! :)

Cool and wonderful hat....I'd wear it, but not in the tropical Philippine heat.

A BEAUTIFUL BIKE, that's giving me ideas for the bike I'm planning to buy this weekend! :)http://www.doubletakesblog.com/2010/01/alexander-girard-for-electra-bikes.html

Really cool paper folds...who would've thought?!

WEEEEEEEE!!! :)

OH MY OH MY!

One of my favorite blogs, coco + kelley posted this:

MY WORD.  It is pretty.  And it is giving me ideas.

plot plot plot

This seems like a good idea too, just need to buy the tools.

This Tuesday I want these....

Sometimes, I my well hidden girly side comes out. Today is one of those times because when I saw these things, I just thoughtL "DAMN! They are so purrrty! I wants it!"

cowl neck for the urban warrior

brilliant studded with snaps dress (you use the snaps to create the folds, just like in the cowl)

Both from: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6604229

Lovely book necklaces (perfect for geeks like me)

Better yet! Maybe I can adventurous enough and MAKE these. HMMM. There's a thought. That cowl neck scarf thing looks easy enough to make. The dress may be stretching it a bit though.

Those necklaces are just too cute. I could write in them whenever the fancy strikes me! :) That idea thoroughly appeals to me. YAY.

Oh! Just to remind myself of yesterday's ambitions: I sort of DID what I had to do today though, I was not successful in sleeping early. I got home at around midnight (we had a long jam sesh), and though happy with what we accomplished last night, or maybe because of it, I couldn't get to sleep right away. Aside from that, the kittens were going nutzoid with their midnight madness. Yes, that is without the catnip yet! Like a dutiful mom, I cleaned out their stinky litterboxes and massaged them for awhile, and played with them. After that I ate a tin of vienna sausage since I was hungry...hehehehe!

I woke up late today and no I didn't get to close my accounts, but I DID manage so go halfway there. All I need to do is go to the branch of the said accounts and tell them to close it since I got all the money out in BOTH accounts. YAY! I'm not completely useless!! Aside from that, I've managed to schedule meetings and averted crisises today...sort of.

And now, another hour at work (yea, I'm being bad blogging at work) and off to my friend's house for some crazy dinner! See you tomorrow! :)

Back to work Tuesday

And I will repost from my other blog today's entry:

Just to help keep it in my head...MUST DO THE FOLLOWING BY FRIDAY:

- must clean out the kitty boxes (ah but this I must do every DAY since there are TWO of them that poop up a storm);
- must clean out the plastic plant boxes;
- must get soil from landscaper's down the street and more seedlings;
- get some basil seedlings / flowers from Ludos with the permission of Jerome;
- wash the dishes; also an everyday affair (yak!);
- clean out the fridge for any stray leftovers that haven't been eaten and cook those that are still good and not rotting;
- pick up laundry (or have it delievered?);
- Move all accounts that can be moved to BPI from BDO by Thursday at the latest
- BUY COUSCOUS! BUY LAMB FROM CAO!
- do something clever with the small amount of pasta in the cupboard;
- Say prayers every night for *that* which you are hoping for...and pray that karma will not bite you in the rear;
- Try and get on with those paintings, lyrics (for the Marshas), and final storyline (for Apol).

Damn. That's a lot to do...I know I can I know I can....

We don't have work tomorrow and I'm debating whether or not I'll come in for "extra credit" or come in on Saturday instead. I think I'll come in tomorrow but be late since I'm going out tonight. Wow, that's another thing I haven't done in a while: SEE A BAND!!!

I miss my friends in the music scene and I can't wait to hang out with them later, even just for a while. Must control the beer tonight though so I don't feel retched tomorrow (damn you, age!). One or 4 may be fine. hahaha! Good thing about all this is that at least I'll have a ride home because my bandmate loves me! Go Conch aka Mrs. T! :)

I'm happy too that I got to finish an article today at the last minute. I didn't cram it, it was just that we had a miscommunication about the length of the article. They were asking for 6000 characters and NOT the 600 which I heard. At least I did it fast and efficiently...I hope that counts for something and that they like it. I'm pretty sure I edited that sucker.

It's almost end of the day. I can't wait to head over to Ludos and get the salad that they are testing out! I've already tasted two of them, and I honestly like them both, but perhaps the steak salad will win tonight over the salmon.

Talk tomorrow!
